‘Shraddha’ is a Hindu Ritual and it has to be performed every year in the memory of deceased relative of yours.  As per Hindu Religion, Soul never dies. Soul has some requirement which they cannot fulfil on their own. If deceased person’s relatives perform Shraddha every year, they can satisfy their requirement.

Your Relative’s soul come and presents if you perform Shraddha every year and give you and your Family Blessings.  �

There are mainly two types of Shraddha:

1. Varsha Shraddha (To be Performed on 1st year of demise.)
2. Mahalay Paksha
3. Bharani Shraddha

‘Shraddha’ is for your Close relatives like Father, Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother, Uncle, Aunt, etc.

‘Mahalay Paksha’�is performed for all your ancestors up to 3rd Generations (Pidhi)

Both are important and has to be performed every year in the memory of deceased relative, so that their soul can get peace.

As per our view, Yes, Absolutely. You need not be of Hindu Religion to perform Shraddha.

Shraddha even though a Hindu Ritual can be performed by person of any religion.

One who wishes that their relatives should have peace, they can perform ‘Shraddha’. Shraddha is one of Holy Ritual in Hindu Religion to give peace to deceased person.
