What is the Significance of Janan (Nakshatra) Shanti?
Janan Shanti means when at the time of the Child’s Birth if there are unfavorable Nakshatra or Tithi (Tidi) or there is any type of disability in the child then, Janan Shati is performed.
If a child takes birth on unfavorable Nakshatra or Tithi (Tidi) he/she or anyone from their family member is likely to face hardship or sudden death. Therefore, to correct these unfavorable fortunes, Janan Shanti is performed. It is performed at any time on or after the 13th day of the Child’s birth, or between ages 1-5 but not after the age of 5 years.
